This institute has III-Cell, which plays a vital role and is becoming a key department of the institute. This department continuously strives to help students in pursuing their career goals by acquiring employment-seeking skills and ultimately to attain desired employment. This is accomplished through building a strong partnership amongst students, alumni, faculty and industries.
To do arrangement of practice based industrial training in textile industries during every summer and winter vocations for 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th semester students of the intuition.
To make special arrangement for the visit to textile industries, exhibitions and other related organizations.
To arrange expert/extension lecturers, seminars, career guidance and personality development programs for the students
To do interaction and meetings with industries to plan various programs for the betterment of students.
To arrange the campus interviews for the placement of students in industry or at institute.
Awareness in the students regarding future career options.
Assisting different companies in recruiting candidates as per their requirements.
There is hardly any textile industry in Punjab which does not have textile supervisor or engineer pass-out from PITT. The pass- out students are also at higher posts in various textile industries of India. The institute has signed MOU with various reputed textile industries to encourage training and placement of students and sharing of knowledge and technology for making the students competent enough for the modern developments in the world of work. The vision of this Cell is to provide such opportunities to students to develop themselves. Which help them to be successful in their career so that they will contribute to nation in healthy ways. I am Suresh Pal belonging to Panchkula. I feel extremely proud to be alumni of Punjab Institute of Textile Technology, Amritsar. I joined this institute in the year 1981 and passed Diploma in Textile in Year 1984. I was selected for Vardhman through Campus Interview in year 1984 and I worked there for 26 years.
Punjab Institute of Textile Technology, Amristar (PITT), one of the oldest and pioneer institutes of India was established in 1920 by the Punjab Government.
